Hi friends. And, an extra special hello to those of you joining us in recently weeks!
Hallowtide is upon us! It's one of my favorite parts of the Church calendar. What is Hallowtide, you ask? It’s the ancient Christian custom of praying for the dead and celebrating the countless (named and unnamed) saints in Heaven over the course of three days: All Hallows Eve (aka Halloween), All Saints Day, and All Souls Day. It once had its own octave for the eight days of Allhallowtide, but that was discontinued in 1955. It’s a beautiful practice to focus your prayer on the dead during the Hallowtide triduum. There are many prayers that are rarely prayed outside of this time of year, so it's really special.
Hallowtide is the perfect time to start nudging your prayer life back on track as we begin preparing for the Advent season (seriously, how is it possibly time for Advent again?!). I know my consistency has suffered with the beginning of the school year and increased hustle and bustle of the fall. I'm looking for a simple way to reconnect with my faith, and I bet you are, too.
Join me for Holy Hallowtide, a 3-day self-paced retreat to usher in November, the month dedicated to the Holy Souls in Purgatory. From October 31 - November 2 you will receive a daily emailed agenda with a mini history lesson, checklists, playlists, recorded sung prayers, a booklist, informative resources, and specialty prayers for the season, including a Novena for the Dead, the Office of the Dead, and more. You can do a little bit, or a little bit of everything! Choose your own adventure and weave some prayer into your busy days.
Sign up for Holy Hallowtide (it's free!) using the link below. I'll remind you again on Saturday so that you don't miss out!

If you're already signed up for Holy Hallowtide, could I ask you a favor? I'm hoping to grow our community to reach even more people. Would you prayerfully consider asking a friend to sign up for Holy Hallowtide with you? I have lots coming down the pike to close out 2022 (Indigenous saint stories! An Advent planning workshop! How to set up seasonal home altars! And more) and I would love to reach as many busy Catholics as possible. Thank you for being part of the Fiat Sanctum community 💜
I can't wait to pray with you all!
